Orchestra Rocks & Swings: A Mary Starling In-School Education Concert
Reynolds Auditorium 301 Hawthorne Rd NW, Winston-Salem, NC, United StatesThis interactive concert by the Winston-Salem Symphony invites students to participate with the orchestra from their seats. The Orchestra Rocks & Swings will teach students about rhythm in the year of Beethoven, students will lift their voices and sing Ode to Joy from Beethoven's beloved Symphony No. 9. Curriculum for this performance is provided by Carnagie Hall's Link Up Education Program and is presented in partnership with the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools.

Elias String Quartet: The Complete Beethoven String Quartets (Part 1)
Brendle Recital Hall 1834 Wake Forest Road, Winston-Salem, North CarolinaThe Secrest Artists Series presents the second half of the complete String Quartets of Ludwig van Beethoven, performed by the vibrant young Elias String Quartet in a series of six concerts. The Elias have performed the complete cycle of Beethoven quartets for BBC Radio 3 as well as at 11 major venues in the UK. Their recently recorded Beethoven cycle for the “Wigmore Hall Live” record label has received wide acclaim from the classical-music press and listeners alike. Special pricing for attendance at all three concerts.
