Course:The Three B’s: Bach, Beethoven, and Brahams with Peter Kairoff

July 21 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until July 23, 2020

Three of the greatest composers in the history of western music happen to have the same initial on their last names, but their music shares much more than that. Beethoven worshiped the music of Bach, and incorporated many of his compositional techniques, especially in his later years. Likewise, Brahms idolized the music of both Bach and Beethoven, and his music contains hidden references to those earlier masters, even in his lush romantic style. We will discover what ties these masterful composers together, and what distinguishes them.
